This charming chalet has nice proportions and is beautifully colored. The dancers are animated, as well as the waterwheel below. A beautiful carving shows a wandering boy whistling as he passes by the Black Forest cottage.
The roof has individually hand-laid shingles, and the dial, hands, and bird are all of solid wood.
The solid brass time movement is hand made in the Black Forest in Germany. The cuckoo call is reproduced mechanically by real wooden whistles and bellows and the Swiss-made music box movement provides the symphonic-quality music.
